Today, many males are discovering new sensations from scrotum shaving. Sure, their scrotum has always been sensitive, but, to feel this area without any hair is new and sensational. The only thing is, the skin of the scrotum is paper thin and very soft so it can be hard, in fact, dangerous, to shave if you don't know how.
Using an electric shaver is not the solution. Those rotary blades will set YOU to spinning if you try using one for scrotum shaving. So you just need to learn how to use a wet razor properly to get a safe and smooth scrotum.
The following information has been collected from guys who have had hands on experience scrotum shaving to help make it simple for you.
Whatever else you do - Never even attempt scrotum shaving unless you're totally awake, alert and straight. Shaving this area is not like shaving anywhere else on your body. You have to be super careful, so you need your wits about you.
If the hairs on your scrotum are scraggly and long, trim them down to a stubble with scissors or better yet, a hair trimmer, before shaving.
The very best way to obtain the very best results from scrotum shaving is to soak in a hot tub for a while before you even start shaving. The warm water will loosen up the hair follicles, (the skin depression from which the hair grows), and soften the hairs. The hairs will pull less and be much easier to cut cleanly with your razor's blade.
There are two avenues of approach from this point:
1) If you use a shaving cream or gel, it will feel cold and this will cause your scrotum to become tense and shrink to a much smaller size and create a harder skin surface. Some guys prefer this. They say it makes scrotum shaving much easier.
But - If you have had any kind of allergic reactions to shave creams or gels, don't use them for scrotum shaving. And take the second avenue -
2) Use a shaving oil such as Tea Tree oil or Mink oil, while you're still in the tub. Not only will these oils make for a super slick surface for your razor to glide easily upon, but they're natural astringents and moisturizers, which means they'll kill any germs or bacteria and help keep the skin soft as you're shaving.
ALWAYS use a new blade in your razor EVERY TIME you shave your scrotum.
Now - Slowly and gently, stretch and flatten the skin of the scrotum with your free hand and start shaving towards the inner thigh with the other. Make as few repeat strokes as possible and don't press down on the razor. Avoid nicks and cuts as your scrotum will bleed very badly. Rinse your razor's blade clean after each stroke.
After scrotum shaving, thoroughly rinse off whatever lubricant you've used with warm water. Then, if you think you can stand it, soothe this now agitated skin by rinsing with cool water.
Dry your scrotum with a clean, soft towel, making sure to pat, not rub.
Lightly dust your scrotum with a talc free powder after shaving to absorb sweat and oils, and keep it from itching.
To prevent irritation to the newly bare skin after scrotum shaving, limit friction. Wear some loose fitting boxer shorts for a while. Or better yet, do your shaving at night when you can just climb into bed with nothing on.
The stubble from hair growing in is what gets itchy, so shave regularly.
Well, there you have the best advice from the guys who know. And now you too can experience the new sensations from scrotum shaving.
