Females have been into leg shaving for thousands of years. Even if it meant scraping the skin with sharpened rocks or metals.
Fortunately females have much better tools for leg shaving. So there's no excuse for not having luscious legs. Except that it's not being done properly ...
If you follow these few simple rules when leg shaving, you will obtain the smooth, luscious legs you desire:
Don't do your leg shaving first thing in the morning. Fluids have made your skin puffy while sleeping, which makes it harder for your razor blade to get a clean, close cut of the hairs. Wait a while. Your skin will become more taut.
Always moisturize hairs before leg shaving. Dry hairs are tough to cut, which leads to a dull blade, which leads to razor burn. Take a hot shower or soak in a bath for 5-10 minutes at least.
Always apply a generous amount of a good, rich lubricant when leg shaving. Don't you dare reach for a bar of soap.
NEVER attempt leg shaving with anything but a clean, fresh razor blade. Forget anything you've ever heard about being able to use a used blade because leg skin is not so sensitive. A dull blade is the NUMBER ONE cause of any/all skin irritations. Don't do it.
Leg shaving is one of the few exceptions to the general shaving rule that you should shave in the direction the hair grows. Don't apply much pressure or repeat strokes over the same area, but go ahead and shave against the way hair grows.
Don't rush your leg shaving. Take your time. You'll achieve a better shave if you shave slowly.
Avoid skin blemishes when leg shaving. Slicing the tops off of these with a sharp blade will only inflame and maybe even infect them.
Thoroughly rinse off any remaining lubricant with warm water after leg shaving. Then, rinse again, with cold water this time. This will help calm and tone agitated skin.
Pat, don't rub, your legs with a clean, soft towel.
Always apply a moisturizer after leg shaving. Do it a second time and just let it soak in.
Try not to wear clothing that will constantly rub against your skin right after leg shaving.
And it's best if you can stay out of direct sunlight right after leg shaving. Your skin will basically be raw and so much more sensitive to the sun's light, which could cause it to become swollen and splotchy.
Okay - So by following these few simple rules when leg shaving, you'll have the smooth, luscious legs you desire.
