My Little Girl Is Shaving Her Pubic Hairs!

Today, this is an exclamation heard across the nation, "My little girl is shaving her pubic hairs!" And depending on the climate of the household, this statement can mean many different things ...

But the one we're concerned with is the mother who cares to make sure her little girl is shaving her pubic hairs properly and getting the best results. Because mom knows what a treacherous, painful road it can be to find your way to a smooth pubic shave. And if her little girl is going to be shaving her pubic hairs, the least she can do is share the tips and tricks she's already learned along the way.

So she tells her daughter that a girl shaving her pubic hairs should:

1) Not do so just before, during and just after she gets her period because her pubic area will be much more sensitive at that time.

2) Not do so just after waking up. It's better if she does so at night, when she can go without her panties under her nightgown, which will limit friction.

3) Take a long, hot shower or bath to make sure her skin and hair is wet before shaving.

4) Put on lots of a shaving gel to help her razor glide smoothly across her skin and hair.

5) ALWAYS use a clean, new blade in her razor EVERY TIME she shaves.

6) Always start shaving with the way the hair grows, then shave against the way the hair grows.

7) Not press down on her razor or shave the same area over and over.

8) First rinse with warm water after she's finished shaving, and then with cold water.

9) Pat, not rub, her pubic area dry with a clean, soft towel.

10) Dust her pubic region with cornstarch to absorb moisture and oils.

11) Wear loose fitting clothing for a while after shaving.

Every girl shaving her pubic hairs should learn these tips and tricks. And it would be great if she could learn them from her mother. But we don't live in Perfect, so at least this information is here.

And one more thing - Every girl shaving her pubic hairs should tell their mothers that there are other tools besides a wet razor for shaving.
